20th Annual Newport Beach Film Festival

In its 20th year, the Newport Beach Film Festival is more excited than ever for the eight day extravaganza happening April 25th - May 2nd. Every year the Newport Beach Film Festival gets a little better and better and this year is no different. The NBFF received submissions from all around the world with the very top notch quality and creativity. Due to cutting edge technology, visual and overall quality improvements have been made and the line between professional and amateur movies is quickly diminishing. The films are so good that it makes the decisions quite difficult for which films will be featured.

This year the Newport Beach Film Fest has grown substantially. Submissions came from all over the world and started coming in in August and continued until the end of February. The NBFF will be screening more than 300 films from over 500 different filmmakers.

This event is for the people of Orange County and they welcome 50,000 film fans to OC. Not only do they have access to these incredible films, but also the opportunity to meet the gurus of the film industry, participate in panel conversations, and attend fun after parties. 

The Film Fest features films of a wide variety such as short films, action sport films, narratives, documentaries and music videos. These films come from a variety of categories from art and architecture to sci-fi to drama to horror. Films are also separated into two different categories of Official and Unofficial. Official films are ones that are competing against other films in their categories and unofficial films are submitted by youth and college applicants.
