Newport to Ensenada International Yacht Race

This year’s Newport Beach to Ensenada race is back for both fun and competition and is expected to have over 250 entries. The races will be split into three exciting race course options. The main race with over 200 boats is still considered one of the largest international yacht races in the world and it will begin at 11 AM with classes starting every 10 minutes. The Newport Ocean Sailing Association also offers a “Short Course” for Cruising and smaller PHRF racers and it will start at 5 PM. There is also a long course which will be 178 miles. The short course will start on the same day from San Diego Harbor and merge into the main body of racers coming down from Newport. The short course will be rated at 58 miles, while the traditional course will be 125 miles and goes overnight.  

This International boating competition will take place on April 26 through April 28, 2017.
