Surf's Up Haiku
Catch the Wave
Arms strong, pulse racing
The timing is everything
Jump Up , Wave is Yours
A Haiku is a popular Japanese form of poerty. Using a total of only 17 syllables, a Haiku poem paints a picture in the reader's mind and captures a moment, scene and/or feeling. These types of poems are often inspired by the natural beauty in the world. Be inspired by Newport Beach and try your hand at your own surf Haiku.
Traditionally, a Haiku is written in three lines, with five syllables in the first line, seven syllables in the second line, and five syllables in the third line. Now you give it a try too!
